The Pilatus PC-12 is a single-engine turboprop passenger and cargo aircraft manufactured by Pilatus Aircraft of Switzerland. It is used as a corporate transport and regional airliner aircraft.
The model is of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) of Australia. The Flying Doctor is an emergency and primary health care service for those living in rural, remote and regional areas of Australia. It is a not-for-profit organisation which provides health care to people who are unable to access a hospital or general practice due to the vast distances of the Outback.
The RFDS was the launch customer fo this aircraft. Currently they use 31 of these aircraft, as well as other makes. The model will load passengers and has a startup function. Initially the engine is stopped, pressing the B key will retract the open door and start the engine.
While it does not have an operating interior, use the [ and ] keys to cycle around the various exterior and interior views. This is the interior at night, during a night landing, and aircraft in blue and white.
Key and Trigger Operation
The aircraft has a number of animations that can be operated by keyboard keys, or the Aircraft Action Trigger, kuid:76656:24050, when placed on track and set to the correct number:
- start engines, B key;
- tyre smoke on landing, use trigger setting 4;
- flare for landing or takeoff, V key or trigger setting 3
