Trainz is a computer simulation by a Brisbane company Auran, for designing and operating a virtual railroad, representing a model railroad layout or a version of a real railroad. It allows track laying, scenicing the route and placement of structures and accessories. Auran provides a forum and website for free download of additional models for registered users. See the About page for more details.
My website includes details and screenshots of 3D models I have designed for the Trainz community, download links and progress on projects under development. My Auran forum user name is Vulcan .
These are models of flyable aircraft being developed. A full airport is available, with runways, taxiways and terminal components that will load the aircraft. They include FA-18 Hornet and Super Hornets, F-14 Tomcats, Boeing 767s, Catalina PBY, and Twin Otter Float plane.
The aircraft carrier USS Nimitz is available with a demo map to show how triggers are set up for carrier operations with the naval aircraft. Boeing 727 and McDonnell Douglas MD82 aircraft have been added to the inventory. There are static versions of most passenger airliners available. The Vulcan bomber, Hurricane, Airbus A320, Heinkel HE111, Constellation, Fokker Friendship, DC10 and Dash 8 models are now available, and the Messerschmitt BF110.
Because of large numbers of aircraft, the original Aircraft page has been split into two pages:.
Note: All my models are available on the Auran Download Station to registered users of Trainz. As of the end of September 2011, the Download Station will not accept models with a Trainz build less than 2.8, suitable for Trainz Classics 3 and above. From that date, my models and any updates will be for build 2.8 or later version.
